Brierley Hill & Dudley 5-1 Erdington & Saltley

BH & D U13s recorded a 5-1 home victory against Erdington & Saltley in a superb performance at The Coseley School. Despite cold conditions and a difficult playing surface, the home team played some of their best football this season. Sam Austin opened the scoring after 10 minutes with an excellent left footed finish after being sent through on goal by the outstanding Shaquille Edwards. Edwards then got on the score sheet himself with an acrobatic finish from a Stephen Rickuss right wing cross. Daniel Durman made it 3-0 following an excellent move when he converted Liam Snape’s superb left wing delivery at the back post to cap a brilliant first half performance.

In the second half BH & D continued to press forward and Sam Austin was rewarded for his persistence in the box when he made it 4-0 from close range. Shane Grainger was a continual thorn in the E&S side with his physical presence and determination. Equally, Shaquille Edwards had his best game in a BH & D shirt and scored his second when he converted Anton Rickards’ cross following another sweeping team move.

E&S scored a consolation goal late on from long range to make the final score 5-1. This was an excellent performance from BH & D and every player involved was magnificent. Well done boys.
