GAMES RE-START AFTER COLD SPELL

URGENT NEWS - GAMES OFF 

UNDER 14 AND UNDER 15 GAMES VERSUS STOKE POSTPONED (Sat 11 February) 

After a period of non-activity with games being cancelled because of the cold spell which made pitches unsafe the District Representative sides swungback into action this morning and the Under 13's led the way with a 1-0 win over Kings Norton/South Birmingham in the E.S.F.A. Divisional Walsall F.C. Challenge Cup winning the game with a last minute goal. The Under 15's - playing their first competitive match since November scored a convincing 3-1 win over Warley in the Divisional Plate Competition.

Under 13's

Brierley Hill & Dudley U.13's1   Kings Norton/S.Birmingham U.13's 0

Brierley Hill and Dudley U13s beat Kings Norton and South Birmingham 1 - 0 in a close Cup Quarter Final at The Coseley School.  Leading scorer Alex Welch struck in the last minute with an excellent right foot shot that found the top corner.   Man of the match Scott Keys was again dominant in central defense, with KN & SB unable to register a shot on target.  BH & D now meet Stoke or Walsall in the semi final.

Under 15's

Brierley Hill & Dudley U.15's  - 3   Warley (Sandwell) U.15's - 1

The first half was an even battle with both teams having few goal scoring
opportunties, until on the stroke of half time when Craig Smith struck to take Brierley Hill into the interval with a 1-0 lead.

In the second half Brierley Hill and Dudley came out the stronger team. Warley made a mistake in the defensive third of the field and Jan Coulston was quick to pounce and slot the ball passed the oncoming keeper.  Later on in the half a lovely through ball found Sam Richards in a one on one in front of goal, where he calmly slotted the ball away. Right at the end of the half Warley scored a consolation goal to make the final score 3-1

COSELEY WIN YEAR 8 GIRLS INDOOR 5-A-SIDE

Coseley won this season's Year 8 Girls Indoor 5-a-Side Competition which was staged at Crestwood School. Thorns Community School finished runners-up with High Arcal 3rd and Hillcrest 4th
