Brierley Hill & Dudley 2-1 Erdington & Saltley

In cold and windy conditions, BH&D U15s continued their good form in the league with a well earned victory against a strong E&S side. Will Worthington was a constant danger with his dead-ball delivery and scored directly from a corner, curling in an inswinging left footed effort after 5 minutes. Later in the half, BH&D struck the woodwork twice and Alex Welch forced an excellent save from the E&S keeper but conceded an equaliser when, against the run of play, the away side scored with a near post header from a corner. Both teams had chances to win the game, with home keeper Haydn Whitcombe making 3 outstanding saves to keep his team in it. Alex Welch however was the hero, clearing off the line twice and then driving home the winning goal in the final minute from a tight angle after a long throw-in from Sam Elwell.
