Brierley Hill & Dudley U12s continued their good start to the season with a well deserved 3-0 victory over Coventry at The Coseley School. BH&D started brightly and went close when Jake Cartwright’s excellent cross flashed across the 6 yard box with strikers Niall Clarke and Kyle Bates both close to connecting. Bates opening the scoring shortly after though, volleying the ball left footed into the back of the net. The home side forced several corners that Lewis Ralston and Alex Fletcher expertly delivered but the score remained 1-0 at half time.
After the break, BH&D continued to dominate with Shaquille Edwards and Mark Ganderton winning the battle in central midfield. Daniel Durman shrugged off a kick to the face in the warm up to produce an excellent pass that set up Kyle Bates who kept his cool in a 1 v 1 with the goalkeeper and added a second goal. Josh Clift, Jack Kelly, Kieran Price and Jake Cartwright produced excellent defensive performances that ensured goalkeepers James Whittingham and Mark Bradley each only had 1 save to make in either half.
