ARCHBISHOP GRIMSHAW AND GEORGE DIXON REACH COUNTY FINALS

In the County Under 15 Individual Schools School Archbishop Grimshaw (Solihull)  have reached this season's Final with a 5-0 winners over fellow Solihull school -Light Hall

In the County Under 14 Individuals Schools' Cup George Dixon comprehensive 9-0 vixtory over Thorns (Brierley Hill & Dudley) takes them into their first county final for many years.

Both Archbishop Grimshaw and George Dixon will have to wait to see who their opponents are in the Finals.

COUNTY UNDER 16'S CRASH TO HEAVY DEFEAT

The County's Under 16 side failed to reach the National Quarter Finals of this season's Premier League Competition when they lost 7-0 to Nottinghamshire in their Midland Counties Semi-Final.  This was the West Midlands heaviest defeat at anyt age level since the formation of the County in 1975 and does raise some serious issues for the County to address in respect of its county programme. The lack of support from some of the local professional clubs who "call" players in for training on nights when the county have fixtures is reprehensible and another example of clubs expecting the best of both worlds in their dealings with local associations and the county association.

In the other semi-final Staffordshire lost to Leicestershire.
