WELCH BRACE HELPS UNDER 13's
Wolverhampton 2 Brierley Hill & Dudley 3 - West Midlands League Fixture
A brace from alex Welch helped the Under 13's to a close 3-2 victory over Wolverhampton in this morning's West Midlands League clash. The Association's Under 13 squad continued their winning start to the season with a well earned 3-2 victory over rivals Wolverhampton. BH & D dominated early proceedings and were rewarded with a goal on 15 minutes when Sam Elwell struck a fine shot from 25 yards into the top corner. Wolverhampton equalised shortly afterwards but Alex Welch ensured a 2-1 lead at half time, finishing off a fine team move at the second attempt. Welch added his 2nd of the game and 4th of the season with an excellent curling shot from the edge of the box that found the top corner. Wolverhampton pulled one back late on but BH & D held on for a well deserved win. Man of the match was Scott Keys who again was in excellent form in central defence.
