In the Trevor Gill Trophy Cockshut Hill Year  progressed to the final with a comfortable 2 – 0 win over Great Barr School. The early stages saw a composed Cockshut make an impressive start, and as they gained in confidence, a number of goal scoring opportunities were created. Cameron Jones was causing all kinds of problems in the Great Barr defence with his long throws. It was not surprising, that after another long throw from Jones, Niall Rowe forced the ball home to give Cockshut a deserved lead. Cockshut Hill continued to press in the second half and hit the post and crossbar before captain Billy Hewitt made the game safe with an eighteen yard volley  ten minutes from time.                                           In the other semi final Colmers Farm had a very convincing win beating local rivals Four Dwellings by  7 - 2.  Early honours were even with both sides pressing for the decisive breakthrough, but three goals inside ten minutes late into the first half by Bradley Davis, Dean Hodges and Jack Clements saw Colmers take a 4 - 1 half time lead. The second half continued in a similar vain with Four Dwellings searching to re-establish a foothold in the game but Colmers held firm and a late impact substitution saw Lewis Pickering grab a Hat Trick to seal Colmers passage into the final.                                                                                                      In the Villa Cup semi finals St Thomas Aquinas narrowly beat Bishop Challenor 1 - 0 in a game worthy of a final with both teams giving their all and showing a high level of skill. In the other semi final, despite being under presssure for most of the game, Tudor Grange beat a very committed St John Wall side 3 - 0.
