Erdington Hit Four Past Cannock
Stop Press: No U12 Training Saturday( 31st) due to illness
Due to weather conditions the only game to beat the frost was Erdington & Saltley U12s v Cannock in the West Midlands.
Declan
Erdington started brightly and soon took the lead when Connor Ceasar broke down the right wing and brought a fine save from the Cannock keeper only for Declan Sullivan to score from the rebound. Despite Erdington dominating the early stages, Cannock came back into the game and were rewarded with an equaliser when John Stevens was beaten at the near post with a shot from just outside the box. Cannock continued to produce good passing football and were denied a second goal for offside. Just before half time Erdington went ahead when Declan returned the earlier favour by setting up Connor Ceasar to score.
Kane
The second half was a predominately midfield battle in which Kane Donald and Remi Cockett were outstanding for Erdington whilst Connor Ceasar's pace up front was a constant threat to the Cannock defence. A great through ball by Alli Kenewa saw Andre Benjamin score Erdington's third goal and with minutes to go Andre scored his second to put the game beyond doubt.
Erdington's next game is in the West Midlands Cup semi Final against Brierley Hill and Dudley in two weeks time.
