Stop Press: Erdington U13s v Coventry popstponed. To be rearranged at a later date
Clean Sweep for Erdington
E&S had a very succesful morning in their West Midlands league games, winning all three games in wet and windy condtions.
E&S U12s
Erdington U12's did not get off to the best of starts and, kicking against a strong wind, had great difficulty getting the ball into Cannock's half and soon found themselves 2 - 0 down. To their credit they battled bravely and were rewarded when Marcelle Richards pulled a goal back just before half time.
Erdington's continued hard work saw them equalise through Charlie Hackett midway through the second half and Luke Bennett snatched the winner with seconds to go and helped maintain Erdington's unbeaten start to the season.
E&S U14's quickly went into a 2 - 0 lead against Telford through Devante Venables and conmpletely dominated the first half. When Adam Spink scored Erdington's third after a fine move it looked as though Telford were out of the game. However they came back strongly and, despite great saves from Billy Spink in goal, Telford pulled two goals back to create a nail biting finish to the game. Telford thought they had grabbed an equaliser only for it to be ruled offside and Erdington held on to win 3 - 2. Dan Earl had another great game in midfield with Liam Kinsella along with debutant Arnell Joseph in defence whilst Devante Venables was a constant threat up front.
E&S U15's met Cannock Schhools and put in their best performance of the season. As with the U12s things did not start well when Erdington quickly went 2 - 0 down. Erdington fought back and Connor Doyle scored twice before Kieran Caulfield hit Erdington's third after a well worked move. In a very eventful first half, Jamie Eagles scored a fourth when his cross / shot hit the top left hand corner of the net.
In the second half Erdington continued to press Cannock and Shaqille MacDonald hit a great goal to make the final score 5 - 2. This was a strong performance which saw promising debuts by Deniko Johnson, Michael Reuben and Kwenie
