INTER-ASSOCIATION LEAGUES

Following the trials undertaken last season the new season sees the introduction of a new format for each of the Inter-Association Leagues. All competitions will now be based on a “one-league” format giving all teams a greater number of fixtures and a fuller programme of matches over the course of the season. Fixtures for the season have now been sent to all Associations – if you have not received your fixtures please contact the County Secretary (cuddlydudley@sky.com)

INDIVIDUAL SCHOOLS/COLLEGES COMPETITIONS

All schools and colleges should now have received details of the competition draws and arrangements for the 2008/2009 competitions. It is important that all establishments follow carefully the arrangements for notification of results. These can be entered online by either the home or the away team – If problems do occur schools/colleges must contact either the County Secretary, Martin Duffield (cuddlydudley@sky.com) or Peter Jordan** (pbjjrj@blueyonder.co.uk) Once a result has been listed it can only be changed by the website management

ESFA Under 16 RAF Cups – Boys & Girls – Please remember this competition has to be concluded before the end of the autumn term so that the ESFA can be notified of the County’s representatives into the National Rounds of the Competition per-Christmas. As in ALL competitions the playing of matches ON-TIME, early notification of results and the early contacting of opponents is crucial

Nominations are to be made via schools and colleges. Forms have already been sent to schools and colleges – PLEASE return these by the stated date.

Nominations are to be made via Local Associations. Forms will be sent to Local Associations within the next 7/10 days – PLEASE return these by the stated date.

GIRLS’ COUNTY REPRESENTATIVE SIDE

The County Association, for the first time, will this season be running a County Representative Girls’ Teams at the Under 16 age level. For the 2008/2009 season the team will be playing friendly fixture only with a view to entering the ESFA National County Competition in Season 2009/2010. Full details of the arrangements for trials will be sent to ALL schools direct after the first County meeting on Tuesday 11 November 2008. It is hoped that all schools will give this new venture by the County their fullest support.

DERBYSHIRE v. WEST MIDLANDS
